Mr. Ding Studio is a boutique Chinese lens manufacturer based in Guangdong. They have carved a unique niche in the rangefinder world by focusing on two main areas: reviving classics and innovating affordable fast glass.

Historically, the brand built its reputation on precision engineering conversion kits. These kits famously allow photographers to adapt legendary Contax G autofocus lenses (like the Zeiss Planar and Biogon) to the Leica M-mount, converting them into fully mechanical, rangefinder-coupled lenses. This solved a long-standing problem for enthusiasts who wanted to use exceptional Contax glass on their M bodies without relying on difficult adapters.

Recently, Mr. Ding has expanded into original lens design. Their flagship "Noxlux" series offers ultra-fast apertures at accessible price points, challenging the notion that high-speed M-mount lenses must be prohibitively expensive.
